Advantages to Residential Care Homes If the Home furnishes, in one or more facilities, food and shelter to five or less persons who are unrelated to the proprietor of the establishment and provides personal care services, then they are required to acquire an Adult Residential Care Home License from the State of Hawaii Department of Health. Residential Care / Assisted Living is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week by our staff. Residential Care / Assisted Living addresses many needs that a resident is no longer capable of managing on his or her own. These would include memory impairment, activities of daily living, medication management, and incontinence care. The independent resident can manage these things on his or her own.
