TB Regulations (updated 5/23/25)

The only change from prior guidance is for ANNUAL screening for people working and living in the facility who have never had a positive TB test. There is no change to resident/client requirements, initial screenings, or persons with a prior positive test.

Please note the change below:

ANNUAL TB TESTING

  1. All residents and all staff with resident contact, who have NEVER had a POSITIVE Tuberculin Skin Test (TST)/IGRA
    1. Negative risk assessment (FORM G) AND negative symptom screen (Form H).
    2. If both forms are negative, screening is complete. If anything on either form is positive, then TST or IGRA is required.
    3. If the employer/employee/individual prefers, a TST/IGRA test can still be used for an annual screening.

Please contact your nurse consultant if you have any questions.
