TB Regulations (updated 5/23/25)
The only change from prior guidance is for ANNUAL screening for people working and living in the facility who have never had a positive TB test. There is no change to resident/client requirements, initial screenings, or persons with a prior positive test.
Please note the change below:
ANNUAL TB TESTING
- All residents and all staff with resident contact, who have NEVER had a POSITIVE Tuberculin Skin Test (TST)/IGRA
- Negative risk assessment (FORM G) AND negative symptom screen (Form H).
- If both forms are negative, screening is complete. If anything on either form is positive, then TST or IGRA is required.
- If the employer/employee/individual prefers, a TST/IGRA test can still be used for an annual screening.
Please contact your nurse consultant if you have any questions.
